The Terrace Tea Rooms, Port Isaac

There are few moments in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.

– Henry James

I have to be honest and say that I didn’t like Port Isaac much and wouldn’t recommend it as a place to go. Boscastle had much more to offer in terms of scenery and the food and shopping was of a much better quality. That being said, you have to go to Port Isaac for just one afternoon and go to the Terrace Tea Rooms. It is an absolutely fantastic place!

It’s the only place we found in North Cornwall that offers a full high tea (most places only offer cream teas) and the food is outstanding. Bev and Steve, the owners and only staff on site, are the nicest, kindest, friendliest people around and after an entire afternoon there, enjoying our tea and scones, sitting in the sunshine taking in the ocean views, we didn’t want to leave!
